Commonly found in the tropical regions, coconut has a “long respected history”. It was first cslled coco ( monkey face) by Spanish explorers who felt the three indentions on the hairy body made it look like a monkey’s face.
Coconut can be enjoyed in three ways: juice, milk snd oil. The juice (coconut water) can be found in the inner hollow of the coconut; it’s refreshing and good for hydration. It contains five essential electrolytes that are present in the human body: calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and sodium. It’s used for medicinal purposes because of this unique composition.
Coconut oil can be administered by inject into a vein and its often used in the treatment of diarrhoea in developing countries. It helps to prevent high blood pressure, aids digestion, helps with weight loss by supressibg appetite, treats acne and other skin blemishes. Coconut milk is good for those who are lactose ( a type of sugar present in milk)intolerant, because it’s lactose free. It can safely replace other types of milk in your smoothies and milk shakes. Coconut oil on the other hand, provides nourishment for your hair and skin, and can also cure various types of illness.
In summary, regular consumption of coconut, aside from its delicious and refreshing taste, will remarkably improve your immune system ; dissolve kidney stones; prevent liver disease, obesity and cancer; reduce inflammation; as well as repair and maintain body tissues.
